Microchip Identification
A microchip ID is a rice-sized identification tag, which is painlessly implanted into an animal just under the skin. The tag is encoded with a unique 10-digit scannable ID. A veterinarian or animal shelter can scan all lost animals with a handheld device to read microchips. If a chip is located, its ID number is traced within a registration database and the owner is notified that the missing animal has been found. The chips are hermitically sealed in a biomedical-grade glass. Microchips are completely inert and will cause no harm, pain or discomfort to your pet. The micro-chipping procedure takes only a few seconds and requires no anaesthesia.
