Should I purchase “pet health” insurance?
While such insurance may provide peace of mind, for most owners it provides little value compared to the cost. Many insurances exclude things like genetic disorders, such as hip dyplasia, which would incur the most expense. According to a survey done by AAHA, less than 1% of companion pet owners have pet insurance policies.
